Secretary of the Board of Directors

 

Office:  Secretary

 

Term:  One Year

 

Reports to:  Board of Directors, President of the Board

 

Time Requirements:           Per Month

                                       

                                        Board of Director’s Meeting                              2 hours

                                        Draft minutes of Board Meetings                       2 hours

                                        Attendance at some Committee Meetings          2 hours

                                        Fund Raising and Activities Attendance              2 hours

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   8 hours

 

Responsibilities:       Custodian of all corporate minutes and records.

 

Attend and record proceedings of meetings of the Board of Directors.

 

Administrative responsibilities as prescribed by the Board of Directors.

 

Participate in at least one Board committee.

 

Participate in fund raising and other activities of the Center.

 

Qualifications:          At least one year of experience as a Board member of a non-profit organization.

 

                              Organizations skills.

 

Able to relate well with people.

 

Able to record proceedings of Board meetings accurately.

 

Willing to make conscious effort to understand all programs and services of the Center as well as philosophy, goals and objectives.
